Since the launch of our redesigned website, our competition has once again tried their best to emulate us in order to further confuse area customers between our two businesses. Over our decades in business, one thing is certain. As long as we are the leaders in our field, we will always be imitated.
The Speaker Shop's owner, Nick J. Dorazio, did not start this business as a frustrated DJ. He is a true industry veteran who established himself as an accomplished sound engineer and loudspeaker systems expert. The Speaker Shop was born in 1973 from the most fundamental division an audio/video business can have: Service. His reputation for providing exemplary service to area clients enabled Nick to grow The Speaker Shop into a retail establishment that satisfied his passion for quality audio products. His service and passion continue today; as a result, Nick and The Speaker Shop have earned international attention for providing professional service and demonstrating unsurpassed expertise in the field of audio systems engineering.
The Speaker Shop's principal sales contact, Jason Dorazio, did not get into this business simply because of his father, although it helped. In 1992, while pursuing a degree in motion picture production at Wright State University in Dayton, OH, Jason began what would turn into a career at Audio, Etc. Here, he honed his skills at presenting products properly, honestly, and thoroughly to his customers so each and every one of them could make the best-educated decision with their money. In 1999, Jason left Audio, Etc., turned down a job offer from Pioneer Electronics, and joined The Speaker Shop where, due to tireless industry and product research, he has developed into what many visiting the store have called, "the most knowledgeable and helpful person in this area when it comes to audio and video."
The Speaker Shop's design team starts with Jacque Dorazio, an accredited graphic designer, whose custom cabinetry can be seen in the store and in customers' homes across the region. Jacque didn't always just do the design work and run the Nijaq Gallery. She began her work at The Speaker Shop in sales. Over the years, her role has changed, but her value to The Speaker Shop remains. As an integral part to The Speaker Shop's design of custom theater rooms, Jacque will work hand-in-hand with clients to ensure that their homes look as beautiful as they sound.
As you can see, The Speaker Shop is a family business. Further, The Speaker Shop is an ethical business who prides itself on treating its customers equally, honestly, and fairly, just like we want to be treated when we are on the other side of the counter. When the impostors gouge the hard-working people of this area out of their hard-earned money, we all lose. Not only does that experience give you a bad taste for specialty audio stores, but it gives our industry, as a whole, a bad name. This industry, the consumer electronics industry, is our shared passion; to see it debased by anyone is something that we can no longer sit back and watch silently.
The Speaker Shop was built to give you the best audio and video buying experience this area has ever seen. There is no equal. There is no other area shop doing it right or doing it better. We personally guarantee that we will be the best for you.
Sincerely, Nick, Jason, & Jacque Dorazio
